At the AAU Sports Committee Meeting a Sports Director for each sport is elected. All clubs in the district must be notified at least 60 days before the meeting and informed of the opportunity to nominate a candidate for consideration. The potential candidate must fill out the official nomination form. Forms and acceptance letters must be returned to the district office no later than 30 days before your meeting (Link to forms below). After receiving the nominations, the Governor will inform the Sports Directors who is eligible for running for Sports Director. An election for the position of Sport Chair is conducted during the individual sport meetings. Please refer to the AAU Code book (Link in Main Menu) as to how this is to be done. NO NOMINATIONS SHALL BE ACCEPTED FROM THE FLOOR. A copy of the minutes and results must be submitted to the district office within 2 days from the meeting conclusion.
